Madison’s Birthday
We went to our neighbor's birthday party yesterday with Margaret. It was at one of the local places with all of the big inflatable toys. All the kids from the neighborhood showed up, which was really cool to see. It reaffirms how happy we are with the neighborhood we live in.
We figured Margaret would have fun watching the other kids, but we really weren't expecting her to do any playing of her own. As it turns out, Margaret had a great time bouncing and climbing on the toys. We stayed very close to her. We weren't worried about her getting hurt on her own, necessarily, but we didn't want her to get jumped on or stepped on by another kid.
It's hard to describe how cool it was. When we first set Margaret down on one of the inflatable toys, she seemed pretty pleased over the "bounciness" of it. I started bouncing next to her, and she climbed up to a sitting position and started bouncing with me. She was grinning and giggling the whole time. It may be some of the most fun I've witnessed her having to date. It was certainly the most fun I've ever had watching her try something new.
