and buy whatever you were planning on buying, and Margaret will earn a small commission on your purchase, which we will put into her college fund. You'll still pay the same price as normal, so why not send some of it Margaret's way?

Putting Margaret to sleep, historically, has been somewhat of a process. Laying her down usually resulted in a bunch of crying, and not much sleeping. So in the past, either Liz would nurse her to sleep, or I would "give her the arm", which basically meant holding her in my arms, and walking with her for 30 minutes or so until she fell asleep. As Margaret has grown bigger and heavier, this has gone from a cute and pleasurable experience to a bit of a chore.

Last night Liz had dinner with some friends. Before she left, we were flipping channels and stumbled on some computer animated Christmas show. It seemed like something Margaret might actually pay attention to, and she seems to be getting bored with her 3 Baby Einstein dvds, so we sat on the floor with her and attempted to watch it. She payed attention to it pretty well for the first 15 or 20 minutes. Liz had to leave, so she handed Margaret off to me and headed out.

Thursday night Liz and I went to dinner at The Wingstop. Charla had offered to babysit Margaret for us. A few minutes after we sat down, a young family with a 9-12 month old girl sat next to us, and an older guy (late fifties, early sixties) sat across from us and sipped on a Shiner Bock. Liz and I talked for awhile, reveling in our temporary childlessness, waiting on our food. The young family and the old guy were waiting too. Out of the blue, the old guy reaches in an inner pocket of his jacket and produces a long yellow balloon. As quickly as he produces it, he inflates it and b

Margaret said mama today. And not just with her new sounds she is making. But she stuck her arms out and said "mama." Was too sweet.

Margaret has been saying "Bah bah bah" for a while now. Today we tried to get her to say something else. We got a few new things out of her today, including "Mmmmmmm", "mmmmah bah" and even one or two "mah mahs".

Since Liz sold her Mac and got the eee PC, I've assumed responsibility for storing and organizing our photos and videos. Yesterday I copied all of the videos from our camera to my computer, made sure they became a part of my nightly backup job, and titled them all with a date and description. I also copied all of the photos from our digital camera that we've taken since Liz sold her Mac. I'll probably be doling out pictures and videos to flickr and youtube in small batches between now and

In case you didn't notice Liz's comment to my previous post, Margaret's first tooth make it's appearance on Monday.
